Witch is the colloquial English term for a person that has gained control over the magical energies of anotherworld. These witches are largely separate from the American wicca and witchcraft communities of the 80s and 90s, though in the years following the anotherworld event this distinction has gotten a lot muddier.
Witches are characterized by the ability to manipulate magical energy of all kinds, making them extremely versatile at the cost of requiring constant training to refine their powers.
There are three traditional classes of Witch; Earth Witches who specialize in manipulating the natural environment, Wood Witches who specialize in the bodyminds of living creatures, and Sky Witches who specialize in anotherworld's pure magical energies. Some Witches break these classifications and have unique powers, while others specialize into a particular niche of their classification.
