Description
Lineage (not to be confused with evolutionary or genetic lineage) is the process by which humans and other sapient creatures are given access to Mythic powers. In practical terms, it is a form of magical apprenticeship to mythical creatures from anotherworld.
Humans that accept a lineage are permanently fused to a newly-formed parallel universe version of themselves that lives as a descendant of their lineage's patron. In other words, a human under a lineage most commonly has three parents: two humans and one Mythic. Some humans create a lineage between two different Mythics, in which case they have "four parents" across two worlds.
Lineage can be manually established by a Wood Witch, though it puts more stress on the person's body and mind than the usual method.
